integration counselling mountain scenery intro

Making a first step towards getting support with mental health can be daunting.

Daily life can induce stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. Counselling is a tool which helps with adapting to challenges, to facilitating the exploration of our relationships with others, and with the factors that can modify one’s interactions with our surroundings.

Counselling can help with adapting to new life circumstances, and to help find meaning and develop a deeper understanding of one’s sense of self. Overwhelming situations can lead to complex emotions, and counselling encourages growth through identifying and exploring the causes behind these.

I have worked with individuals from all walks of life, focusing on a variety of issues including:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression and loneliness
  • Loss of confidence
  • Handling acute diagnoses
  • Bereavement & loss
  • Relationship problems
  • Grief and loss
  • Feeling stuck

About Me

Humanistic Integrative Counsellor

I am Yoni Ben-Haim; born in London, where I trained as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, with an emphasis placed on psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Attachment theory. What this means, in clearer terms, is that I draw from a number of different theoretical approaches studied as part of my training, with attention focused to childhood, present and past relationships, dream activity and how these impact on present day to day life.

One of the most important foundations of counselling is the rapport between the client and the therapist. I am passionate about my work and focus on the importance of active listening. Every individual is truly unique, and there is not a universal pattern behind sessions with a client. Therapy is about listening, empathising and working together.

I believe that interactions between counsellor and client mirror relationships in the client’s wider orbit.

Ultimately, many people seek counselling not for a specific issue, but to find greater meaning in life and to seek guidance in nurturing more positive and fulfilling relationships. Every person is unique, and equally, every person deserves to live a life fulfilled.
